needing some r&r

tired and drained and fat...

pacquiao vs. marquez II
my dad hosted the uncles again for this fight. whoever brought the KFC, salamats! basement was pretty packed, with 20 old filipino guys drinkin and shouting.

the fight was exciting. better than his last couple of fights. pac's is definitely a champ. looked like one. even tho pacquiao was the show, marquez was the professional. just like their last fight, marquez owned pacquiao. and was pretty sure it was going to be another draw. marquez got dropped, but he was still strong. between rounds, the room would cringe as the cutman worked on marquez. DISGUSTING. worse cut i've ever witnessed. DISGUSTING. it was bigger than his eye! DISGUSTING. watching marquez's skillfully control pacquiao, i was close to rooting for him. if anything, he deserved that decision. bah, filipinos and corruption. still proud, but im not convinced that pacquiao beat him. i smell rematch.

had dinner there over the weekend to celebrate a going-away for my buddy terence! he has a job offer down in atlanta , georgia, USA. short notice, but im real excited for him.

the restaurant itself was real chiq with wood grain, moody lighting, and square lines everywhere. prices were upscale but the waiters and hosts were all in casual. like the name suggests, their specialty is burgers. so, i got a hotdog. michigan style. and i ate it with a fork and knife. for the price, i was expecting a large portion. i got a large hotdog on a small square plate and fries seperate in a small square bowl and a coke in a glass coke bottle that was smaller than my water. satisfied, but not that impressed. it was like a high class mcdonalds. oh but they're 5 dollar milkshakes are gigantic! and super awesome delish. but yea.

good luck terence!

school

busy busy busy... past couple of weeks i've tryin to put some work together for an art presentation, had a chemistry midterm to handle, and juggling lab reports, etc.

my chem teacher is the biggest douche ever. he can't spell 'platnum', 'vegtable', 'potasium' and he's a chemistry teacher. and he's english. he's from Ottawa! fucken retard. worse teach i've ever had.

photo above is robert ryman. presenting him as one of my inspirations. not so much for his work, but his comfort and love of just painting white paint. reassuring.

anyhoot, just a week left of university, and one more exam in chem, and im done as cooking is when the timer runs down and chimes that ring indicating the food that is cooking is ready to serve and eventually consumed after a cooling period.
