classic matchup

YEA BABY!

this nba championship series has so much potential. classic green vs yellow.

i can care less who wins/losses. i'd love for KG to win that ring, but i'd also like to see kobe win another one on his own, he deserves it this season being MVP and all. but i think im leanin towards the celtics and KG cause kobe already has rings and can easily win it next year.

kate bosworth!

i met her over the weekend and i made her blush when i told her i thought she was awesome in Beyond the Sea and had a moment where our hands brushed against each others and i had the opportunity to hold her hand!!!

yea im lying... had a tiring/rollercoaster of a weekend. first off,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JELLY!

she had drinks a top of hotel de la montagne' terasse and i had a blast. met people who recognized me off jelly's facebook pictures which made me feel violated but like a celebrity at the same time (i hope they're sexy pictures of me...). i believed it was a cold night, but bobo and i pregamed before hand and were feelin warm once we got up there. bobo stole jelly's drunken thunder. sadly, bobo got sick, but fortunately her bf came to pick her up heheheh. this bit me in the ass at the end of the night, cause after offering people rides home, i had left my keys in bobo's frign purse. fortunately, on the way to grabbing a taxi (as close to the shore as possible) my new best friend jess and i passed by dunn's and just had to grab a smoke meat sandwich! it was the greatest sand- (my mouth is watering right now)-wich EVER. there, we were interrupted by annoying american dudes in the booth next to us, tryin to chat jess up. if i werent so devoted to making out with my meaty sandwich, i would've beat them all up real good and stuff. anyhow, dunn's was a blessing cause bobo's bf reaches my cell and is able to deliver my keys to me. score! i get home around 4ish and have a few hours til i gotta get up for...

free museum day! jane was my partner for the day and we headed out at 9am. there were a few museums i wanted to see but the one i really wanted to see was the MAC which had the Quebec triennial exhibition featuring Quebec's major artists. one of which was one of my painting teachers and another one being the fine arts student director. i couldn't relate to the exhibition much. a lot of which were real complicated, and i realized i have no patience for video installations. there were a few interesting works, one in particular was by Raphaƫlle de Groot. he would wear these paper masks while drawing a face on it with colored pencils. he had two tables with rows of these masks and it was quite charming in a grade school drawing kind of way.

hilight of the day was LUNCH. took jane to Kanda for some sushi buffet goodness. we ordered lil over 50 pieces and destroyed all but one lil piece of kamikaze(?). i honestly felt like puking. but that killed my sushi need for the month. we then made our way to the science center down at old port, but opted for biodome instead. it was far, and we had no directions other than following the direction of the olympic stadium's tower. it was a beautiful sunny warm day btw. we eventually get to the parkin lot and as we were getting our ticket, coming back to the car, on the windshield is a parking ticket! we were gone for 5 minutes and i get a ticket. we tracked down the ticket lady and explained our story and she gladly cancelled it. crisis averted. anyhoot, we make our way to the biodome and are met with a long snake-like line that can easily wrapped around the large round building. honestly, we spent more time in line than inside the biodome. but the line was funny tho. jane and i played the guessing game where we think of a person and the other person has to ask questions to figure out who it is. she stumped me with my Auntie Nicky. i doubly stumped her with a Kate Bosworth/Brandon Routh combo. LOL good times. we finally get inside and the first area is the jungle/tropics, and it was frign humid. but the gold lion tamarin was money! it was really fire red.

the crocodiles didnt move at all. the penguins didnt break into a tap routine. the atlantic puffin was much cuter. and bunch of other impressively cool animals that you'll have to see to really appreciate. it was just too crowded inside to take your time and enjoy it. good times nonetheless. we got ice cream afterwards too. yum! then i got home, pooed, stripped down to my panties and frign passed out. the end.

triple 0-T

had our basketball championship game yesterday for pinoy ball...

and once again, for the sixth or seventh time (i've lost count...) i've come up short. hehehe. ah all good. we played the cambodian-laotian team and they took us to distance in three overtimes. goin into each one, we had a chance to win it with the last possession but were never able to hit the game winner. we had our chances, and they had one chance, and they took it. with free throws. nice team. real nice guys. and they can play. they deserve it as much. always next year.

week 1

now that i think of it, i am pretty health conscious. anyway, this month i wanted to correct my eating habits. and i've always been a fan of booster/jamba juice, and hearing how health beneficial that shit is (and delish!), i decided to jump on that bandwagon. so i copped a blender off craigslist (honestly, i got jipped) and did some grocery shopping. this endeavour is all about FIBER. so i loaded up on berries, plums, prunes, and other ish. its been a week and i've officially forgotten about coffee and now always lookin forward to my next smoothie fix. i call my blend the Smooth Ride, cause... it goes down smooth, and comes out even smoother! hehehe ziiiiing!

bottoms up!

jimbo's new whippp

so proud. my old man traded in his chevy venture for his retirement ride, a mitsubishi outlander. i tried convincing him to get a beamer, but he wanted something fuel efficient and big enough to tackle our frign winters. makes sense.

im sold. either its real compact, or im getting bigger. huzzaah.

olei! olei~olei olei! o-lei! o-lei!

it's not your fault!

so just ten minutes ago, the habs were eliminated by the flyers. real sad. this is the first year that i've invested myself in the habs since grade school. i was all over them when they won in 93. i abandoned ship when patrick roy did in 95. never liked thibeault nor theodore. but became interested when huet began to make waves. and convinced once price set up shop. this was a great season. big up to the kostitsyn brothers for their skills. for markov being an all-star. plekanec was this year' ribeiro (good lookin scorer). kovalev for living up to his value. and koivu being koivu, the teams heart. and carbonneau had some frign nice suits.

DEFENSE. you lost cause your D sucked ASS. it's not price' fault. the entire series, you guys were clearly in his way. it was like a mad boxing match where both sides were swinging like crazy. you tried to beat em by outscoring them, rather than outplay them. yes, you guys can score. im proud. but you guys just messed up on d. and carey, work on ur glove side homie.

so in conclusion, there's always next year. with a seasoned carey price, and a year of chemistry, you guys are gonna wreck teams next season. olei!

go penguins!

i am... not batman

twas awesome. dragged chiggs away from gta and he dragged leo out of bed so i could see iron man frign fly. it was a perfectly balanced movie. though the non-action stuff, characterization in particular, was the real plus of the movie. i really enjoyed robbie jr. and gwyneth was straight up foxy. meowr.

surprisingly, the action was not all that i was expecting or hoping. it was good, but like many superhero movies, the good shit was already in the trailer. i also expected the flying to be better than in superman returns, from what i saw from the trailer. still good, but superman still owns. big plus was how tony had to learn to be ironman. makin mistakes, fuckin up, gettin hurt, etc. thats the interesting shit. that shit was missing in batman begins. his main foe had lotsa potential, but didnt live up to it. and the fighting was too much like transformers, big fast flashy metal that its hard to keep track of whats happening.

so all in all:

IRONMAN > transformers. unlike the bigger than life giant robots, ironmans suit actually seems functionally possible. and much easier to identify.

IRONMAN > batman begins. it takes bruce wayne 15 minutes to go from batman jr. to batman pro. fuck that. ironman falls everytime he's in the suit!

IRONMAN > superman returns. just a little though.

IRONMAN = hulk (by ang lee). that shit was deep.

IRONMAN = spiderman 1. BUT.....

IRONMAN > spiderman 2.

IRONAMN >>> spiderman 3. yea thats right, 3 times!

IRONMAN > any other superhero movie.

though, im still waiting for a THOR movie. im anticipating the new hulk movie and the new batman movie. but only way i will accept this new batman franchise is if they step up the mystery/detective aspect. batman is the WORLD's GREATEST DETECTIVE! and all his great books involved him trying to solve the crime. its not all about gadgets and ninjas. those are just bonuses.

anyhoot, imma buy myself an ironman helmet and paint it black gun metal. and place it next to my vader helmet.

i am IRON-MAN...
