dear carey price

i would like to apologize on the behalf of the city of montreal and its fans. tonight, our team the canadiens were swept from the playoffs by a strong and deserving boston bruins team. i whole heartedly, with the utmost compassion and respect, support you. most importantly, i just want you to know you are not to blame and did not deserve the treatment you had received tonight. this series has brought out the worst in this city, and i hope very much you don't take it to heart. you are a talented and exciting goalie, with a long career ahead of you, full of success no doubt. in my opinion, you have brought so much excitement back to this hockey city, reminiscent of the patrick roy era. but i am sorry you had to be baptized in such a fiery arena. it is unfair that you are the focus of this failed year. i hope you had watched the conclusion of hockey night in canada, as ron maclean and co. analyzed the break down of this year's performance and attributed it to an internal conspiracy. im sure you have a better understanding of this, perhaps in a more personal level, and know things that the fans of the city do not, things that can affect a players performance. i would like to reiterate and emphasize that you're a great goalie, carey. you are not to blame. you have no quality defense system, you are only 20 years old, your gm is clueless, and you're playing for the single most hockey crazed city in the world. it's not your fault.

carey price, i believe in you.

i support carey price.
